American Indian Hopi Sifter Basket
Take home a treasure of American Indian basketry. This is a striking example of Hopi Indian artistry, traditionally used for sifting flour and cornmeal. This basket was made the old fashioned way, woven by hand. The Hopi Indian weaver used materials gathered from the Earth. These materials include dyed, natural and bleached yucca which were attached to a metal rim hoop that exhibits the traditional fringe on the outside rim. This vibrant, traditional Hopi sifter basket is optically kinetic when viewed from a distance, moving from a small center diamond outwards. Own an original! This one of a kind basket is a true Southwestern classic and a Native American made collectible that is is excellent condition.
