The star design of this collectible Pima Indian Basket art displays the counter movement pattern around the center is most often seen in the work of the Western Pima and Apache Indians. Though it is over 50 years old it is in wonderful condition. Dated sometime in the late 1950's this collectible work of art is Pima made and genuine. Coiled baskets are made like coiled pottery. The Pima Indians, Akimel O'odham, are known for their fine Indian baskets. This Pima Bowl Basket is a vibrant example of Native American art.
