This detailed seed bead leather hat band is made by Native American artist Ralph Gallapoo. This removable, beaded hat band is sure to add that Native flair to your favorite cowboy hat!

For over forty years, Ralph Gallapoo has been designing and creating beautiful, intricate Native American beadwork. His ancestors were Pottawatomie, Nez Pierce, and French Canadian Native Indians. Gallapoo was a participant, competitor, and trader on the “Pow Wow” Circuit for more than ten years. As a life member of the Starhawk Society, he has been a traditional dancer as well as a gourd dancer for thirty years. Before his career in Indian art began, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Today , Gallapoo specializes in the Peyote stitch; however, is exceptionally talented in edge beading, lazy stitch, and appliqué. He has been commissioned to do all the bead work for accessories used in the Native American church such as dance outfits, rattles, and fans. Over the years, Gallapoo has been the recipient of various awards and ribbons for his masterful work with beads.
