Lone Mountain Turquoise Cluster Silver Cuff Bracelet

This type of high quality old pawn authentic Lone Mountain Turquoise Cluster bracelet is sought after by Native American jewelry collectors today. Using silversmithing techniques passed down from generation to generation, this skilled artist hand cut this beautiful cuff bracelet out of heavy gauge sterling silver and forged the silver tri-band cuff. A traditional Navajo cluster design was created with oblong sky blue Lone Mountain turquoise cabochons set in ridged bezels. Accents of silver Navajo tear drops, twisted wire, and a natural dark patina complete this gorgeous vintage Native American bracelet. The high polished turquoise stones resonate in their settings. The turquoise cluster centerpiece is 2-1/2" in circumference. This one-of-a-kind old pawn bracelet will fit a 6" to a 6-1/2" wrist.

Recently Charles Cheatham, a descendant of the owner of the Painted Desert Trading Post in Arizona, placed a call to our office here at Alltribes. He was the successor of a collection of southwest Native American Old Pawn jewelry from the original notable trading post on Route 66. Cheatham chose several items for himself, and then, gave us the chance to acquire pieces for our store.

During the 1940's, a cattle rancher named Dotch Windsor made the decision to settle in the Painted Desert area with his wife. He built one of the most notable trading posts in Arizona. It was north of Route 66, east of the Petrified Forest National monument, and overlooked the Dead River Wash. He and his wife operated the trading post together until they divorced sometime during the 1950's. Windsor married a woman named Joy Nevin. The couple operated the business until they divorced in the year 1956. Not long after, Windsor closed his trading post because plans to realign Route 66 would make an exit to his business inaccessible. The building remains standing and is considered by many to be one of the top ten historical sites to visit on Route 66.
