Zuni Inlaid Design Sterling Silver Turquoise Men's Ring Sizes 10 to 14

This Zuni men's ring is an incredible piece of crafted southwestern inlaid jewelry. The design is formed from Sterling Silver and set with delicately cut Turquoise and other stones to form a feather like pattern. This ring is an impressive example of high-quality Zuni workmanship from twenty years in the past. It has a 3/16" smooth silver band and the textured rectangular face with a beautiful eagle design is 13/16" long and 1/2" wide. The ring size is 10 to 14. When polished to a high gleam, this ring will shine as a testament to superb taste and quality.

The Zuni Indians learned to silversmith from the Navajo in the early 1870's. Unlike the nomadic Navajo, the Zuni had permanent homes and were able to use many tools that the Navajo could not easily carry travel with. They used lapidary wheels to begin cutting stones, using the silver to hold their stones in patterns. Today, Zuni silversmiths are reknowned for their lapidary skills. Both channel inlay (using precisely cut stones set on silver to form figures and designs) and cluster and needlepoint (setting small, similarly cut stones in geometric patterns) are traditional Zuni styles.
