Wild Horse Magnesite Sterling Silver Cluster Necklace and Earrings Set

This set is a real beauty. It has been masterfully hand made out of shimmering Sterling Silver. The sensational necklace features a traditional southwestern style cluster design made from hand cut cabochons of genuine Wild Horse Magnesite. Sterling Silver twist wire and balls give this fine piece of hand made jewelry extra detail. Non Indian made. Suspended from a box link chain, this necklace is 20-1/2" long. The matching French hook earrings are 1-3/4" long. Stamped Sterling and signed by the artist. The matrix of the Wild Horse Magnesite may slightly vary. Wild Horse is the marketing name for a new find of Magnesite from the Gila Wilderness Area in Southern Arizona. Rich chocolate brown is actually the matrix in this new Magnesite with antique white as the Magnesite's color. This new Magnesite was discovered near Globe, Arizona while mining for other minerals. It is called Wild Horse because of its resemblance to those Pinto horses with brown on white patches known to roam free in the southwest and who were also a favorite horse of many Native Americans.
