Each buckle has nuggets of genuine Turquoise and hand cut cabochons of block Coral. The Turquoise and Coral have been artfully set on a belt buckle of shining nickel Silver that features a traditional southwestern image. Each Buckle measures 3" by 2 3/8" with a 1-3/4" wide keeper on the back. Due to the hand made nature of this item some variations may occur from piece to piece. Turquoise has been, since about 200 B.C., extensively used by southwestern U.S Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new.
