Vintage Old Pawn Native American Bracelet Genuine Turquoise Coral Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet  0322-254050-BR

Vintage Old Pawn Native American Bracelet Genuine Turquoise Coral Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet.

This authentic vintage bracelet was originally made and bought in the 1950's. Hand made by a Native American artist. It features nuggets of genuine Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and genuine Coral. The stones are surrounded by intricate hand made silver work and the traditional details are hand stamped. A heavy gauge construction, built to last several lifetimes. This elegant old pawn bracelet is 1-3/4" wide. It'll fit a 6-1/2" to a 7-1/2" wrist. Generally we leave vintage and old pawn jewelry in its original condition, however, these bracelets were black as coal so we've cleaned them up with a brushed satin finish. You'll receive the exact, one of a kind old pawn bracelet pictured below.

This jewelry comes from an estate sale out of San Diego. The estate was owned by a trader who past away recently at the age of 96 years old. He bought, collected, wore, and traded Native American and Southwestern jewelry for many years. Richard was able to buy up his remaining collection. These old pawn bracelets were part of that collection and were made about 50 years ago. This means they were made with high grade natural stones and traditional techniques, and have classic designs.

Native Americans of the southwest have paired Turquoise with red and orange materials in their jewelry for a long time. Its a beautiful combination of color contrasts. But the tradition is thousands of years old, rooted in symbolic meaning and regional materials. The original materials of the ancient American Indians would have been shell, jasper or pipestone, but now red Corals have become the standard because they are hard and easily polished. The red, white, and blue effect created when set with Turquoise and Silver imparts a whole new patriotic meaning to the ancient American color scheme.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
