Stamp Collection Lot of US First Day Covers, Cachet First Day Stamps, International Bicentennial Stamps Gold Replicas of Wildlife Stamps, Great Americans on Stamps and MORE.

Lots of history here. This large stamp collection spans the 30's through 80's. It's all about First Day of Issue Covers and commemorative stamps and features a wide variety of First Day Stamps, Covers, and Cachets. The collection was well cared for so each cover is in excellent condition. The stamps have a huge scope of subjects and themes that is to large to list here, this collection has it all. For the most part the covers have common Cachets, but there are a few special limited edition cachets by sought after artists in the bunch. There is a large book of over 100 U.S. First Day Covers & Special Covers from 1969 to 1980's. The complete International Tributes to America's Bicentennial First Day Covers (1975-76) with color cachets is totally fascinating, truly a unique collection of productions. There are two complete sets of US First Day Cover Gold Editions from the 1980's, one is called the 1980 Edition. Also included are two large complete sets of the Golden Replicas of united States Stamps (30's through 70's), a large set of Golden Replicas of the 1987 US Wildlife Stamps, the Great Americans on United States Stamps Collection, a Civil War Commemorative Folio, Honoring US Achievements in Space First Day Cover, and the Official State Birds and Flowers Commemorative Sheet. There may be a couple of envelopes with Cachets that are worth $500 to a collector. Altogether this collection is worth about $900. We're pricing it to sell at $450.

The envelope that a new stamp was mailed on is called the cover, the picture or graphic that is printed on the envelope is called a Cachet. The envelope is decorated to celebrate the new edition stamp and some of the artworks and designs are unique and sought after by collectors. The tributes to Americas Bicentennial Book has some interesting artworks and graphics. Far more rare than the other series in this collection, it's probably worth the price of the whole set.
