Six Inch Native American Four Corners Dreamcatcher Medicine Wheel  2158-DC

Native American Four Corners Dreamcatcher Medicine Wheel.

You'll be having sweet dreams with this one on the wall. This Native American Indian Dreamcatcher is of a very high quality. It was skillfully hand made by a Navajo Indian artisan. No home is complete without one! Everyone needs a good dreamcatcher! The wheel was entirely wrapped in soft genuine buckskin leather. The web has been created with a traditional design in the center to symbolize the four corners of the earth, created with wooden pipe beads and a genuine abalone shell button. This dreamcatcher has a diameter of 6". Genuine feathers have been known to act as symbols of prayer. Attached to the bottom is a hand made medicine bag.

Originally the Dream Catcher was hung by the window or at the head of your bed. The bad dreams are suppose get caught in the web. The good dreams work their way through the hole in the center, rest on the feather like a dew drop, and evaporate to the Great Spirit in the morning sun. The prayer beads on the Dream Catcher trap all the bad dreams that are left on the web. The prayer beads burn them up. There are many variations to the story of the Dream catcher with different tribes.

The objects man makes are called artifacts, and every artifact, whether it is beautiful or ugly, crude or refined, utilitarian or ceremonial, is a reflection and product of man's skills, his techniques, his arts. Artifacts reflect the ideas, the concepts, and the knowledge acquired or learned as a member of a tribe. Members of a particular tribe use certain techniques, and create a particular style because that is their tradition.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
