Plains Indian Ceremonial Stone Head Beaded Leather Handle War Club 4469-NC
Plains Indian Ceremonial Stone Head Beaded Leather Handle War Club
This is an impressive display piece. This masterfully crafted War Club has a genuine wooden handle that has been wrapped by hand in soft, genuine buckskin leather and a genuine Stone head. A beaded patterned strip is bookended by leather fringe. Also, the club is trimmed with trade beads, feather and genuine white rabbit fur to give it that classic, natural Native American look. This War Club is 20" long. The stone axe head may vary but you'll receive one from the group pictured below. This one belongs in your collection as it is a finely hand made replica of yesteryear.
The objects man makes are called artifacts, and every artifact, whether it is beautiful or ugly, crude or refined, utilitarian or ceremonial, is a reflection and product of man's skills, his techniques, his arts. Artifacts reflect the ideas, the concepts, and the knowledge acquired or learned as a member of a tribe. Members of a particular tribe use certain techniques, and create a particular style because that is their tradition. |
