Original "Full Moon Ride Through Sacred Land" Navajo Pen & Ink Sketch by Native American artist Frank Nez  0048-PG

Original "Full Moon Ride Through Sacred Land" Navajo Pen & Ink Sketch by Native American artist Frank Nez.

This is not a reproduction, this is an original work of art! This is a true collectors item. This original sketch was created by master Navajo artist Frank Nez. This intricate and detailed composition masterfully depicts the Eagle spirit watching over a bike who's rider has stopped to rest while riding through Navajo territory in Northern Arizona. This image celebrates the artist's traditional Navajo themes in a contemporary composition. This is a fine, original work of art and will compliment any southwestern decor. It comes matted and ready to be framed. The artwork is 22" by 14", with the matte it measures 28" by 20". Signed and dated by the artist F. Nez, '06.

Frankie C. Nez is a full-blooded Navajo from Arizona. He comes from an artistic family and started drawing when he was about seven. Over the years he developed and refined his craft and has become a versatile and talented Navajo Indian artist. He skillfully works in a wide variety of media such as ink, color pencil, water color, and bead work. He also carves Kachina dolls and makes tomahawks. Nez does anything that comes to his imagination. He is well-known for his intricate details and exact, symmetrical compositions featuring traditional Navajo designs. Nez's work has been seen and sold throughout the southwest, in Mexico, and beyond. His inspiration mainly comes from his observations of life on the reservation.

The biker, embodying freedom and independence, is a true American ideal. Roaming around the country alone or in brotherly groups, they have established a lifestyle all their own. Camaraderie, toughness, and liberty are the key traits of the biker that have allowed the community to strengthen and grow over the years. From the rebellious and revolutionary gangs like the Hell's Angels, to the casual weekend rider, the biking community continues to own the open road.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
