Original "Buffalo Warrior Spirit" Navajo Pen & Ink Sketch by Native American artist Frank Nez  0038-PG

Original "Buffalo Warrior Spirit" Navajo Pen & Ink Sketch by Native American artist Frank Nez.

This is not a reproduction, this is an original work of art! This is a true collectors item. This original sketch was created by master Navajo artist Frank Nez. This intricate and detailed composition masterfully depicts the spirit of a Buffalo warrior chief flowing out from the smoke of a peace pipe. The detail and textures of this sketch are incredible. The frame covers up a little horizon with trees at the bottom. A nice touch that would show if re-framed. The frame is complimentary and keeps the work safe until it's in your hands. This is one of the finest examples of Nez's work that we've seen. This framed artwork is 16-1/2" by 13-3/4". Signed and dated by the artist F. Nez, '03.

A Limited edition print of this same artwork is available for sale under item number 1940-PG for $25. Check it Out...Click Here

Frankie C. Nez is a full-blooded Navajo from Arizona. He comes from an artistic family and started drawing when he was about seven. Over the years he developed and refined his craft and has become a versatile and talented Navajo Indian artist. He skillfully works in a wide variety of media such as ink, color pencil, water color, and bead work. He also carves Kachina dolls and makes tomahawks. Nez does anything that comes to his imagination. He is well-known for his intricate details and exact, symmetrical compositions featuring traditional Navajo designs. Nez's work has been seen and sold throughout the southwest, in Mexico, and beyond. His inspiration mainly comes from his observations of life on the reservation.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
