One of a Kind Native American Genuine Azurite Sterling Silver Traditional Pendant Jewelry by Navajo artist Emerson  2800-6470-PN

One of a Kind Native American Genuine Azurite Sterling Silver Traditional Pendant Jewelry by Navajo artist Emerson.

This Native American Indian pendant is a work of art. This pendant was made in our shop by master Navajo silversmith Jimmy Emerson. Jimmy made this pendant out of shimmering Sterling Silver. This sensational piece of Sterling Silver jewelry holds a large hand cut stone of genuine Azurite. What a pendant! Jimmy included hand stamped designs and hand twisted Sterling Silver wire, giving this Native American Indian pendant additional beauty. Suspended from a complimentary chain, this pendant is 1" wide and 1-7/8" long, including the bail. Stamped Sterling. Signed by the Navajo Indian artist JE. You'll be getting the one of a kind hand made pendant pictured below.

Azurite is an an intense deep blue color with a Mohs hardness between 3 and 4. Various sources claim the name is derived from the Persian word lazhward or from the Arabic word azul, which both mean blue. Azurite often occurs with malachite, chrysocolla or turquoise in areas with copper deposits. A rare form called "Bluebird" has dark red Cuprite mixed with it. Azurite is found in the southwestern USA, Mexico, Chile, Australia, France, Nambia, Morocco, and Zaire. For thousands of years this stone has been used in jewelry and ornamental objects. During the Middle Ages and Renaissance it was ground into pigment for use in paint and eye shadow. It is not generally known as a birthstone, but references indicate it may have been used as a birthstone for the sign of Taurus.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
