One of a Kind Native American Genuine Azurite Sterling Silver Ring Size 8-1/2 to 10 by Navajo artist Emerson  2112-6560-RG

One of a Kind Native American Genuine Azurite Sterling Silver Ring Size 8-1/2 to 10 by Navajo artist Emerson.

This ring is full of natural beauty. The center of this fine piece of jewelry is dressed with a cabochon of genuine Azurite. This beautiful blue and green hued Azurite is showcased in a brilliant gleaming setting of Sterling Silver. This ring features a hand-twisted Sterling Silver wire and hand-stamped designs around the Azurite for the perfect amount of detail. This ring is 1-1/8" long and is size 8-1/2 to 10. Made in our shop by Native American artist Jimmy Emerson. Stamped Sterling and signed by the artist JE. You'll receive the item in the pictures.

Azurite is an an intense deep blue color with a Mohs hardness between 3 and 4. Various sources claim the name is derived from the Persian word lazhward or from the Arabic word azul, which both mean blue. Azurite often occurs with malachite, chrysocolla or turquoise in areas with copper deposits. A rare form called "Bluebird" has dark red Cuprite mixed with it. Azurite is found in the southwestern USA, Mexico, Chile, Australia, France, Nambia, Morocco, and Zaire. For thousands of years this stone has been used in jewelry and ornamental objects. During the Middle Ages and Renaissance it was ground into pigment for use in paint and eye shadow. It is not generally known as a birthstone, but references indicate it may have been used as a birthstone for the sign of Taurus.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
