One of a Kind Native American Azurite Sterling Silver Traditional Cuff Bracelet Jewelry by artist Jimmy Emerson  0486-6297-BR

One of a Kind Native American Azurite Sterling Silver Traditional Cuff Bracelet Jewelry by artist Jimmy Emerson.

This is a gorgeous work of art! This Navajo made Sterling Silver cuff bracelet holds three large cabs of stunning Azurite. The stones have beautiful deep green and blue hues. They've been set in hand made Sterling Silver bezels sweated to a hand made Sterling Silver cuff. Hand twisted Sterling Silver wire and hand stamped designs circle the Azurite stones. This bracelet has a triple-band cuff. Made in our shop by Native American artist Jimmy Emerson. It averages 1-1/2" wide at the center and it will fit a 7" to an 8" wrist. Please allow us to size this one for you. Stamped Sterling and signed J E.

Azurite is an an intense deep blue color with a Mohs hardness between 3 and 4. Various sources claim the name is derived from the Persian word lazhward or from the Arabic word azul, which both mean blue. Azurite often occurs with malachite, chrysocolla or turquoise in areas with copper deposits. A rare form called "Bluebird" has dark red Cuprite mixed with it. Azurite is found in the southwestern USA, Mexico, Chile, Australia, France, Nambia, Morocco, and Zaire. For thousands of years this stone has been used in jewelry and ornamental objects. During the Middle Ages and Renaissance it was ground into pigment for use in paint and eye shadow. It is not generally known as a birthstone, but references indicate it may have been used as a birthstone for the sign of Taurus.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
