Nice Mix of 3 Navajo Genuine Turquoise Sterling Silver Belt Buckles 3 in 1 Set

These Navajo buckles are full of natural character. Each buckle features a traditional southwestern Navajo design. Two have nuggets of genuine Turquoise and one has a Sunface image. The Turquoise has been artfully set on belt buckles of shining Sterling Silver. Each Buckle measurement varies but averages 3" by 2" with a 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" wide keeper on the back. Stamped Sterling. Due to the hand made natures of these items some variations may occur from piece to piece. You will be receiving the items in the pictures below.

This jewelry comes from one of the leading trading posts in the heart of the Indian Nation. Established over 35 years ago, the owners recently retired and liquidated $200,000 wholesale ($450,000 retail) of their inventory to Alltribes. They worked with some of the best Navajo and Zuni jewelers and kept to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. This jewelry features unique designs and quality stones. It was made before the price of silver went up and will have lower prices.

Turquoise has been, since about 200 B.C., extensively used by southwestern U.S Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new. Some believe this style of Jewelry was unknown prior to about 1880, when a white trader persuaded a Navajo craftsman to make turquoise and silver jewelry using coin silver. Prior to this time, the Native Americans had made solid turquoise beads, carvings, and inlaid mosaics. Recently, turquoise has found wide acceptance among people of all walks of life and from many different ethnic groups.

We understand the true value and nature of hand-crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it’s important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
