Navajo Rug on a Loom and Crimson Native Woman Weaver Cloth Doll Sculpture  6831-RUG

Navajo Rug on a Loom and Crimson Native Woman Weaver Cloth Doll Sculpture

This is the only Navajo rug weaver sculpture of this exact nature. No home is complete without one! Everyone needs a good Navajo rug weaver sculpture, and this one is exceptionally unique! This Navajo rug weaver sculpture was masterfully hand made. A miniature genuine Navajo rug on a loom hangs from an arching wood frame. It is of a traditional Navajo Indian Design with the traditional colors. The central design of the rug is a symbolic hole for the Spider Woman to let the bad spirits out. Some believe that rugs without the spirit hole can cause people to get rug sickness. This is a flat woven traditional Native American rug. A cloth Navajo woman rug weaver doll dressed in crimson sits before the rug, and by her sides are a sleeping baby on a cradle and a bundle of yarn. The base is covered in cloth. This unique and beautiful sculpture would make the perfect addition to any collection. Set one at the end of a bookshelf, use it as an accent on a tabletop or even as a traditional southwestern decoration. The uses are endless. This sculpture will fit with just about any Southwestern decor. It stands at 13-3/4" tall and is 12-1/2" long and 7" deep. The photos below are of the excellent and unique sculpture you will receive.

Hand weaving, starting 1000 years ago as a Nomadic craft in the Middle East and has left us with little recorded information as to the origin of designs. Generally, traders have effected the majority of influence over patterns, color, and quality control. From the earliest experimentation with lines and angles, weavers have continually adapted and absorbed ideas from other cultures to upgrade the craft.

We understand the true value and nature of hand-crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it’s important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
