It is of a traditional Navajo Indian Design with the traditional colors. The central design of the rug is a symbolic hole for the Spider Woman to let the bad spirits out. Some believe that rugs without the spirit hole can cause people to get rug sickness. This is a flat woven traditional Native American rug. A cloth Navajo woman rug weaver doll dressed in blood red sits before the rug, and by her sides are a bundle of yarn and a baby on a cradle. The base is covered in cloth. This unique and beautiful sculpture would make the perfect addition to any collection.
