Navajo Indian Turquoise Spiny Oyster Silver CUFF BRACELET by Native American artist James 3164-A-BR
Navajo Indian Turquoise Spiny Oyster Silver Cuff Bracelet.
This Native American Turquoise Spiny Oyster Silver Bracelet is a fine piece of Native American Indian made jewelry. This bracelet is a true one of a kind. The Navajo Indian jewelry artist dressed the center with a large nugget of genuine Spiny Oyster for an interesting centerpiece. This beautiful Spiny Oyster has been surrounded with hand cut cabs of genuine Turquoise. What a colorful bracelet. The cuff was hand made from seven individual bands of shimmering Sterling Silver. Each gemstone has been set in an individually hand made Sterling Silver casing that was soldered to a hand cut Sterling Silver sheet to help create a traditional cluster design. This bracelet is 1-3/4" wide and it'll fit a 5-1/2" to a 6-1/2" wrist. Stamped Sterling. Signed by the Navajo Indian jewelry artist L. James.
The Spiny Oyster gemstone is actually the colorful shell that comes from the species Spondylus varius also known as the Spiny Oyster or Thorny Oyster. The Thorny Oyster is a bivalve mollusk that dwells primarily in tropical ocean waters. They can be found along the coasts of North Carolina all the way down to the waters near Brazil. It is a stunning animal to look at, and it is often a subject for underwater photography. The dazzling shells of the Thorny Oyster are rare finds and they're treasured for their beautiful red, brown, yellow, purple, and white colors.
