Navajo Indian Turquoise Distressed Silver Concho Belt.
This is a finely hand crafted work of wearable art. This belt features a buckle and ten conchos of nickel Silver that were hand stamped with traditional southwestern designs and distressed by hand in the center for added texture and detail. The conchos have been backed with leather. Cabochons of genuine Turquoise artfully dress the buckle. People will think you were shopping at the reservation for a hundred years with a find like this. Made in our shop. The buckle is 3" by 4". Each of the ten conchos is 2-1/2" by 3". The leather belt can be cut to fit. Send us your belt size. Stamped Hand Made and signed with the Navajo artists' hallmark.
The Dine' People are a unique group of people still living the traditional life with many oral stories passed down to the younger generation through the Dine' language. The Navajo people have returned to their original name given to them by their holy people. The Dine' land (aka Navajo reservation) on top of Oak Creek Canyon is the largest reservation established for the Dine', covering about 25,000 sq. miles of land, which is located in the Southwest in parts of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. The Dine' People believe they live within the Four Sacred Mountains.
