Navajo Indian Jewelry Wild Horse Magnesite Sterling Silver Bolo Tie and Belt Buckle Set.
This set will get noticed! An impressive example of hand made Native American jewelry. This buckle and bolo tie set was made in our shop by master Navajo jewelers. The buckle and bolo tie have each been made out of shining Sterling Silver with a nickel silver back for a high shine that won't tarnish. They each hold a large nugget of genuine Wild Horse Magnesite. This Magnesite is just full of natural character with its gorgeous chocolate brown hues and white highlights. The stones are surrounded with hand twisted Sterling Silver wire and traditional hand stamped designs. The bolo tie is about 2-1/2" wide by 3" long and comes with a quality 12-ply leather bolo cord (42" long) with Sterling Silver tips. The buckle is about 3" wide by 2-3/4" tall with a 1-3/4" wide keeper on the back. Stamped Sterling and signed by the Navajo Indian jewelry artist with our hallmark. Stones and dimensions will vary only slightly, you will receive a bolo and buckle set from the two sets pictured below.
The Dine' People are a unique group of people still living the traditional life with many oral stories passed down to the younger generation through the Dine' language. The Navajo people have returned to their original name given to them by their holy people. The Dine' land (aka Navajo reservation) on top of Oak Creek Canyon is the largest reservation established for the Dine', covering about 25,000 sq. miles of land, which is located in the Southwest in parts of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. The Dine' People believe they live within the Four Sacred Mountains.
Wild Horse is the marketing name for a new find of Magnesite from the Gila Wilderness Area in Southern Arizona. Rich chocolate brown is actually the matrix in this new Magnesite with antique white as the Magnesite's color. This new Magnesite was discovered near Globe, Arizona while mining for other minerals. It is called Wild Horse because of its resemblance to those Pinto horses with brown on white patches known to roam free in the southwest and who were also a favorite horse of many Native Americans.
