Navajo Indian Jewelry Genuine Black Onyx Sterling Silver Bracelet  0049-244282-BR

Navajo Indian Jewelry Genuine Black Onyx Sterling Silver Bracelet.

This Navajo Bracelet is a real beauty, an elegant example of hand made Native American jewelry. The center holds gorgeous hand cut cabochons of natural black Onyx. The polished black stones appear on a unique banded cuff of shimmering Sterling Silver. Hand stamped designs add extra character to this exceptional bracelet. The deep blacks of the Onyx come together with the Sterling Silver to create a fashionable black and white design. This onyx cuff bracelet is 1" wide. It'll fit a 6" to a 7" wrist. Stamped Sterling and signed by the artist.

This jewelry comes from one of the leading trading posts in the heart of the Indian Nation. Established over 35 years ago, the owners recently retired and liquidated $200,000 wholesale ($450,000 retail) of their inventory to Alltribes. They worked with some the best Navajo and Zuni jewelers and kept to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. This jewelry features unique designs and quality stones. It was made before silver went up and will have lower prices.

Black Onyx is a member of the chalcedony family (a form of quartz). Onyx is a black form of Agate and often features white or gray bands. It is ideal for carving, engraving, fashioning into beads, and decorating pottery. A versatile and durable stone, Onyx was also used to make tools. Popular worldwide, it is the most common of all gems. Historically, it was believed black onyx cured insomnia, bred prudence and caution, and brought its owner strength and victory in battle. It is a popular belief that Onyx has the power to cure mental and physical illness inherited from past lives. The people of India believe Onyx provides protection from the evil eye and the people of the Middle East use it to take away negative energies.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
