This Native American Turquoise Silver Mens Ring is an incredible piece of hand made Turquoise jewelry. This ring holds a large nugget of natural genuine Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. The impressive Turquoise nugget has been hand-cut in our shop and bookended by a pair of shining Sterling Silver fans. The Sterling Silver fans have been hand stamped with fine line designs for the perfect amount of detail. Made in our shop by Verna Blackgoat or Joey McCrey. This Navajo Indian Turquoise and Silver Ring is 1" wide and fits a size 9 To 13. Sizes 13-1/4 to 16 can be made for a $25 charge. Stamped Sterling and signed with our hallmark. Turquoise has been, since about 200 B.C., extensively used by southwestern U.S Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new. Some believe this style of Jewelry was unknown prior to about 1880, when a white trader persuaded a Navajo craftsman to make turquoise and silver jewelry using coin silver. Prior to this time, the Native Americans had made solid turquoise beads, carvings, and inlaid mosaics. Recently, turquoise has found wide acceptance among people of all walks of life and from many different ethnic groups.
