A herd of Buffalo comes together to make a beautiful work of art. The Buffalo fetishes have been finely carved by hand from genuine pieces of Alabaster. Petite Penn Shell Heishi beads deliver their earth tones creating an elegant contrast with the pure white Alabaster. Sterling Silver cones adorn both ends of this one. Strung in our shop by Navajo Indian jewelry artist Berlinda Begay. This necklace is 28" long.
Native Americans have always felt a special connection to nature. The belief that all things have a spirit is an integral part of their religions. The Zuni believe that animals are more like the Zuni deities than is man. They also believe that animals have more power than man and that these powers, both practical and spiritual, reside in their totems.
