Navajo Design Klagetoh Wool Rug - 6x9 0044-RUG
Navajo Design Klagetoh Wool Rug - 6x9
This is southwestern rug weaving at its finest. This Navajo style pattern rug comes from an old friend of Richard's: Doug Babett. This one was made the old fashion way, it was flat woven by hand. It hearkens back to the old stories of how the Spider Woman deity taught the people how to weave rugs. This Navajo style rug was made from genuine Wool and some genuine Cotton. This rug represents extremely fine weaving. It is a benchmark - a collectible among collectibles. This rug is 6-1/2' by 9'. Non-Indian made. At Home Depot and Lowe's their machine made rugs cost more than this hand made rug. We're having a close out on rugs in order to make room for a new line, and we're offering them at low prices below our cost.
We can assure you that this rug was made the traditional way. It was hand woven on a loom similar to the way that the Navajo and other Southwestern Pueblo Indian weavers do it. And, these rugs feature the same traditional designs that the Native Americans use. So, these rugs match the quality of Native American made rugs in every way. If a true Native American weaver made a rug like this it could cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. Thankfully, we are able to offer the same design of rug for a mere fraction of the cost. |
