Navajo made. Dress yourself in style. This bracelet is an incredible work of art. This one was made in our shop. The Navajo Jewelry artist masterfully made this one by hand out of shimmering Sterling Silver. The cuff of this Sterling Silver bracelet holds two rows of genuine Sleeping Beauty Turquoise nuggets. Each nugget of this gorgeous Turquoise has been set in an individually hand made Sterling Silver bezel that was sweated to the Sterling Silver cuff. Hand twisted Sterling Silver wires and hand made 'Navajo Tear Drops' give this one an extra high shine. The edges of this watch have been hand stamped with fine line designs. A complimentary watch face has been included. Made in our shop. This watch is 1-1/8" wide. It'll fit a 5-1/2" to an 6-1/2" wrist. Stamped Sterling. Signed by the Navajo artist with our hallmark. In Indian folklore it is said that there was once a chief with turquoise colored skin. One day he was running from his enemies in the hot desert. Whenever he stopped to rest, his perspiration ran onto the ground, collected in rocks and became turquoise.
There are many legends about Turquoise; The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and that it helped overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.
