Native American Turquoise Sterling Silver Animal Necklace Squash Blossom
What a work of art! This impressive necklace features beautiful animals of shimmering Sterling Silver. The Sterling Silver animal figures have been hand cut, hand stamped, and hand filed with perfect detail. Each of the finely crafted animals holds a gorgeous hand cut cabochon of genuine Turquoise. The wolf is chosen for the prominent position at the center and is accompanied by his prey including the rabbit, squirrel, hedgehog, raccoon, and beaver. This necklace has been strung with stamped Aztec style Sterling Silver bench beads and finished with a Santa Fe polish. This sensational necklace is 22-1/2" long. Stamped Sterling and signed by the Navajo Indian jewelry artist Ella Peter. The color and matrix in the Turquoise may slightly vary. You will be receiving one of the two necklaces pictured below.

The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.
