Native American Sterling Silver Overlay Chandelier French Hook Earrings
These earrings are breathtaking and gorgeous. This pair was beautifully hand-made out of Sterling Silver in an attractively simple design overlaid down the rectangular length of a pair of dangling earrings. These sensational French Hook Earrings are about 2-1/2" long and were made, signed and stamped Sterling by the Native American artist Mildred Parkhurst. The photo is an excellent representation of the hand-made pair of earrings you'll receive.
Mildred Parkhurst has been making jewelry, such as necklaces, earrings, pins, letter openers and bracelets, for thirty years. She uses beads and semi-precious stones, primarily turquoise, in her jewelry. Her hand-made and tufa-cast jewelry is made the old-fashioned way of traditional Navajo silver smithing. Her parents, Ivan Kee and Isabelle Kee, taught her and her sisters the art of silver smithing, which has been passed down through several generations of
the family, including to Mildred's son. She and her husband have three sons and three daughters. She is a Native American artist who grew up in Window Rock, AZ and currently lives in nearby St. Michaels.
