Native American Smokey Mountain Tibet Turquoise Silver Belt Buckle.
This impressive buckle is full of natural character. This belt buckle was hand made in our shop by master Navajo Indian silversmith Jimmy Emerson. The Navajo Indian jewelry artist used a large nugget of genuine Smokey Mountain Tibet Turquoise to create this one. This Turquoise nugget features incredible natural blue colors and natural matrix. This Turquoise appears on a hand made nickel Silver backed and Sterling Silver front belt buckle. The nickel Silver buckle has been hand cut with scalloped edges and hand stamped with traditional southwestern designs. This buckle is approximately 3" by 3" with a 1-1/2" wide keeper on the back.
In Indian folklore it is said that there was once a chief with turquoise colored skin. One day he was running from his enemies in the hot desert. Whenever he stopped to rest, his perspiration ran onto the ground, collected in rocks and became turquoise.
