Native American Rawhide Beaded Turtle Rattle by Navajo Indian artist Clara Vasquez 0224-NC-NEW
Native American Rawhide Beaded Turtle Rattle by Navajo Indian artist Clara Vasquez.
The Turtle is the Navajo symbol for long life. This impressive Rattle measures 17-1/2" from the top of the bulb to the end of the handle. The shaft is wrapped in rawhide and accented with decorative beading, contrasting feathers and genuine antler buttons. The rawhide rattle head is securely hand stitched with artificial sinew and cut to create the image of the turtle. Powerful symbols dress this ceremonial artifact and it would make a fabulous gift. It is attractive in any setting and has the artistic character to stand alone or compliment similar pieces of collected works. Bead work may slightly vary from piece to piece. You'll be getting one from the group of hand made Navajo Rattles.
