Native American Navajo Made Chrysocolla Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace.
These stones are as gorgeous as they are unique. This hand made Native American pendant features number one grade Chrysocolla set within a Sterling Silver Navajo design. The deep greens and blues circulate together and create unique natural compositions. The hand cut traditional patterns in the Sterling Silver surround the stone with a white shine. These sensational pendants average 1-1/4" in width and about 2" in length. Stones will vary from piece to piece. You'll be getting one from the group pictured below. Each pendant comes with a complimentary chain. Stamped Sterling and signed by the artist P.A. Smith.
Chrysocolla is found near copper deposits and its attractive blue-green color is related to the color of Turquoise, which is also found where copper is mined. The copper is responsible for the blues in both minerals and Chrysocolla is often mistaken for Turquoise though they are distinctly different. Chrysocolla is typically found as crusts, or vein fillings and can form rounded crystals with concentric layers. It can often be hard enough to cut for jewelry use and its brilliant swirling blue-green colors make jewelry with and exotic character.
