The squash blossom necklace was skillfully hand made out of Sterling Silver and set with hand cut cabochons of Block Turquoise, Coral, Lapis, Jet, Malachite, Gaspeite, and more. This vibrant mix of stones have been arranged into dazzling patterns to form traditional Pueblo Indian cluster designs. The hand made silver work was hand strung onto high tension wire with Sterling Silver bench beads for extra shine. The breathtaking natural colors and hues of the stones come alive against the white shine of Sterling Silver. The matching earrings, They're 1" long and 7/8" wide without hooks. The Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace is 22-1/2" long. The naja is 2" wide and 2-1/4" long making this necklace hang like it's 24-3/4" long. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.
