Native American Genuine Turquoise Coral Silver Gold Indian Chief Belt Buckle by Lucky and Emerson  0036-253096-BB

Native American Genuine Turquoise Coral Silver Gold Indian Chief Belt Buckle by Lucky and Emerson.

This belt buckle is full of natural character. This one prominently features hand cut nuggets of genuine Turquoise and Coral. The Turquoise and Coral have been artfully set on a belt buckle with a Sterling Silver top and decorations and a shining nickel Silver bottom. Plus, this one features the image of a mighty Indian Chief in Jewelers Gold (a.k.a. Red Brass) for an extra high shine. This impressive belt buckle is 2-5/8" wide and 3-1/4" long with a 1-3/4" wide keeper on the back. This buckle was a collaborative effort between Lucky and Navajo artist Jimmy Emerson. Due to the hand made nature of this item some variations may occur from piece to piece. You'll be getting one from the group of hand made belt buckles pictured below.

Turquoise has been, since about 200 B.C., extensively used by southwestern U.S Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new. Some believe this style of Jewelry was unknown prior to about 1880, when a white trader persuaded a Navajo craftsman to make turquoise and silver jewelry using coin silver. Prior to this time, the Native Americans had made solid turquoise beads, carvings, and inlaid mosaics. Recently, turquoise has found wide acceptance among people of all walks of life and from many different ethnic groups.
We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
