This is a top-of-the-line medicine bag by Navajo artisan Veronica Begay. This spectacular artifact was masterfully hand crafted out of genuine buckskin for naturally soft textures. Beaded fringe hangs off the bottom in a lovely pattern and decorates the sides, front, and strap with vibrant color. The impressive seed bead work is all hand made and the strap clasps with a lobster claw. The opening of the bag is tied by a leather cinch. This medicine bag is 2" wide, by 2-3/4" long, and the strap is 15" long. Each bag is unique, and the colors will vary. You will receive one from the group of Navajo medicine bags pictured below.
This Native American Medicine Bag was made by Navajo artist Veronica Begay. Veronica is the niece to famed Navajo Indian silversmith Victor Begay. Veronica, also known as Ronni, was born and raised on the reservation in a small town called Many Farms, AZ. Veronica has been making jewelry since she was 15 years old. Her parents, Wilson and Linda Begay, taught her and she comes from a family of silversmiths. Her parents are well known on the reservation and her uncle, Victor Begay, is a famous and well known silversmith.
