Unique and beautiful, this bracelet has it all. The center of this one prominently features an elegantly hand cut, long oval cab of genuine royal blue Lapis. The oval Lapis cab has been set in a hand made Sterling Silver casing that is simply hinged with the slender Sterling Silver cuff. A slight pot hook on the other end of the Sterling Silver cuff allows the Lapis to connect with the cuff on both sides for a complete bracelet. Made in our shop. The Lapis cab is 3/8" wide and 1-1/8" long. This bracelet we can make it to fit a 5" to an 8" wrist. Send us your wrist size. Lapis lazuli can be made of several minerals besides lazurite, namely sodalite, hauyne, calcite (white streaks), and pyrite (metallic streaks or flecks). Stones that are deep blue with small patches of pyrite and calcite are considered the most valuable. The ancients believed that divine favor and success came to those wearing lapis. It was largely reserved for royalty. Claims to origins of lapis lazuli range from Afghanistan and ancient Babylon to Peru and the Inca civilization. Regardless, those who wore lapis claimed that "power amulets" were formed when this beautiful stone was shaped into the form of an eye and ornamented with gold.
