Moss Green Genuine Turquoise Sterling Silver Traditional Necklace and Earrings Set  2010-NK-SET

Moss Green Genuine Turquoise Sterling Silver Traditional Necklace and Earrings Set

This necklace is full of natural beauty and has an impressive and gorgeous design made from hand-cut stones of genuine moss green Turquoise and Sterling Silver. These stones and metal beautifully contrast one another, making this necklace a highly attractive piece of hand-made, native-made jewelry. The necklace has three rectangular sections of Turquoise cabochons that make up part of the length and a hanging circular section. From the earrings hang diamond shapes of four Turquoise cabs. It has a box link chain for greater flexibility. This necklace has a total length of 18". The matching hook earrings are 2" long. Stamped Sterling and signed by the artist. ( E Liukin ) There is only one of these sets available, so the items in the photos are the ones you'll get.

Turquoise has been used for personal adornment in many countries all over the world. Among those who have worn it are the Persians, Tibetans, Greeks, Romans, Aztecs, Incas and of course the Native Americans of our own Southwest, who have been mining and wearing it since the time of Christ. Turquoise has decorated the thrones of Kings, been inlaid in the crowns of royalty and appeared in the crown jewels of many countries. During the 15th century the Queen of France gave a gold ring set with Turquoise to King James IV of Scotland as a pledge of friendship. When Queen Elizabeth of England was married, her gift from the President of Mexico was an exact replica of a prehistoric Nahuate (Aztec) brooch of gold inlaid with Turquoise.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item. CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC
