Limited Edition Native American Coyote Warrior Wall Mount Kindred Spirit Mask.
This artifact is a wild and exceptional display piece! This impressive wall mount comes from Native American artists Super Moon and Black Wolf. It is part of a limited edition, number 49 of 500, and features a hand painted lost wax image of an American Indian Warrior. This stunning Warrior's face features intricate natural textures and life-like detail. His face is painted a fiery red and glows from within the bison mane headdress. The black designs over his eyes end in flame like points creating a menacing presence that would be a terrifying sight during battle. He is dressed with a generous portion of genuine horse hair, coyote fur, and bison mane. A genuine deer horn button, buckskin leather, and trade beads give this fine artifact extra character. The genuine coyote's tails make this mask rare and unique so if your looking for an extraordinary, one of a kind work of Native American art look no further. This wall mount has a rustic hand cut wooden base. The base is 15-3/4" wide by 21" long and signed by the artist. Including the draping horsehair, this Indian mask is about 30" long.
Native Americans have always felt a special connection to nature. The belief that all things have a spirit is an integral part of their religions. The Zuni believe that animals are more like the Zuni deities than is man. They also believe that animals have more power than man and that these powers, both practical and spiritual, reside in their totems.
The objects man makes are called artifacts, and every artifact, whether it is beautiful or ugly, crude or refined, utilitarian or ceremonial, is a reflection and product of man's skills, his techniques, his arts. Artifacts reflect the ideas, the concepts, and the knowledge acquired or learned as a member of a tribe. Members of a particular tribe use certain techniques, and create a particular style because that is their tradition. |
