This kachina doll is a true collectors' item! It is spectacular. I'm willing to say that this is one of the best kachina dolls available in the world. The feathers, tree, rattle, and base are all one piece. The wooden shells are the only extra pieces. This amazing. It took a sculptor on a par with Michelangelo to make this one. Hopi made, it comes from the Tuba City/ Grand Canyon area. It has been perfectly hand painted by the artist with a combination of earth tones and bright colors. This Early Morning Singer Kachina Doll was made the traditional, old fashioned way- hand carved out of genuine cottonwood. This one features a wooden feather headdress that was hand cut and intricately hand etched with an incredible amount of fine line details. The case mask has a tubular mouth, and red ears. Plus, this kachina doll features the traditional rain cloud symbol. This Early Morning Kachina Doll is 15-1/4" (including the wooden base), and 3-5/8" wide. Signed by the Hopi artist B. Loma.
