Hand Carved South American Totem Spirit Mask Wall Hanging
This South American Spirit Mask is an incredible work of art! It is 36" tall X 5-1/4" wide. We can tell it was hand carved from a single piece of wood by the marks on the inside back of the mask. The eyes are carved open and his striking appearance will bring any decor to life! This one has an exceptional hand painted design with a gorgeous pastel color scheme. On the back it has a string on a metal hoop for hanging. It is in excellent condition with only one spot at the top where it took a blow that created a small crack and chipped the paint job slightly. This wall hanging is from an old collection and looks to be packing some age, but we can't tell how old it is. Not American Indian made, probably from South America, perhaps Brazil. Signed by the artist.
