This Genuine Turquoise and 14K Gold Cross Pendant is a gorgeous piece of hand made jewelry. This Pendant was made into a traditional and expressive design out of brilliant 14K Gold. A Zuni inspired inlaid design was artfully created from hand cut pieces of genuine Turquoise, Lapis, lab Opal, Jet and Spiny Oyster, just to name a few. The mix of stones come together with the 14K gold to create a vibrant, and glowing presentation. This Pendant comes with a 16" black cord with a 14k gold clasp. This Turquoise Pendant hangs at a length of 1-1/4" and is stamped 14K.
There are many legends about Turquoise; The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and that it helped overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky.
