Genuine Turquoise Coral Silver Southwestern Bolo Tie.
This bolo tie is an impressive piece of hand made American southwest jewelry. These bolo ties feature beautiful deep-blue nuggets of genuine Turquoise and hand cut cabochons of block Coral. This Turquoise and Coral accompanies intricate southwestern designs set in nickel Silver for a high shine that won't tarnish. These bolo ties are 1-7/8" wide and 2-1/2" long. They each come with a 36" long leather bolo cord with tips. The designs and stones vary slightly but all of the Turquoise is Sleeping Beauty blue. You'll get one of the six bolos pictured below.
There are many legends about Turquoise; The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and that it helped overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.
