Genuine Coral Sterling Silver Native American Cuff Bracelet Old Pawn Navajo Jewelry  1250-BR

Genuine Coral Sterling Silver Native American Cuff Bracelet Old Pawn Navajo Jewelry.

An exceptional Navajo made design. This Native American Coral and Silver Cuff Bracelet is a brilliant work of hand made jewelry. This incredible bracelet features three rows of hand cut genuine Coral cabochons surrounded by shimmering hand made Sterling Silver drops. The dazzling design sits atop a solid hand cut band of Sterling Silver that was hammered by hand into an elegant cuff. The natural hot red hues of the Coral give this bracelet a strong character that's absolutely irresistible. The elegant Sterling Silver cuff gives off a sleek shine and frames the coral perfectly. This Coral Cuff Bracelet is 3/4" wide and will fit a 6-1/2" to a 7-1/2" wrist. Stamped Sterling and signed by the Navajo jewelry artist. You will receive one from the group of old pawn coral cuff bracelets pictured below.

This jewelry is from the Arnold Roossin Collection. Roossin owned a trading post in downtown Scottsdale for many years. He passed away recently and Richard was able to buy up his remaining collection which included rugs, kachinas, jewelry, and artwork of all kinds. These old pawn coral bracelets were part of that collection and were made around the 1970's. This means that they were made with high grade coral which is very rare today.

There are several types of precious coral. Although Red corals are most common in jewelry, coral can be found naturally in a variety of colors including blacks and golds. Coral is produced in warm, shallow coastal areas by tiny marine animals and can be found in many places. Jewelry grade coral usually comes from the Mediterranean Sea, Hawaii, or China and is increasingly rare due to large efforts to protect the worlds Coral Reefs. Coral is known to be used as a gem since prehistoric times and has gained a reputation for having powers of healing and protection. Red coral was believed to change color according to one's health, but only if the stone was not fashioned by man. Strings of coral were considered a gift of royal proportion in parts of Africa. It was also popular as a gem in the Egyptian and Roman empires who believed in its curative powers.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
