Hand weaving, starting 1000 years ago as a Nomadic craft in the Middle East and has left us with little recorded information as to the origin of designs. We can assure you that this rug was made the traditional way. It was hand woven on a loom similar to the way that the Navajo and other Southwestern Pueblo Indian weavers do it.
