Five Strand Genuine Turquoise Jewelry Heishi Bead Sterling Silver Necklace By Lula Begay  3173-BNK

Five Strand Genuine Turquoise Jewelry Heishi Bead Sterling Silver Necklace.

This Genuine Turquoise Jewelry Heishi Bead Sterling Silver Necklace is just full of natural character. This necklace features five hand-strung strands of genuine Turquoise nuggets. Each nugget of this Turquoise offers their natural green colors and earth-tone matrix to this sensational necklace. Just like snowflakes, no two Turquoise stones are exactly alike, making every Turquoise necklace a true one-of-a-kind piece of hand-made wearable art. Hand-made Heishi beads of genuine olive Penn Shell artfully provide the spacing between Turquoise nuggets and the Sterling Silver hook-eye and comb clasps on this one. The five Turquoise strands come together at the silver cones. This Turquoise necklace is 27" long and was made in our shop by the Native American artist Lula Begay. An extension chain is available at $5 per inch; leave your request in the comment box as you check out. The photos are an excellent representation of the necklace you will be receiving.

Turquoise has been, since about 200 B.C., extensively used by southwestern U.S Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new. Some believe this style of Jewelry was unknown prior to about 1880, when a white trader persuaded a Navajo craftsman to make turquoise and silver jewelry using coin silver. Prior to this time, the Native Americans had made solid turquoise beads, carvings, and inlaid mosaics. Recently, turquoise has found wide acceptance among people of all walks of life and from many different ethnic groups.

We understand the true value and nature of hand-crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it’s important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item. CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC
