This incredible miniature knife set comes from the old Apache Turquoise & Case Co. trading post. They used to be one of our main suppliers running out of Phoenix, Arizona, and after a few decades the owner decided to retire from the business. Richard was lucky and fast enough to buy up his old stock leaving us with a giant treasure of high quality items. Before this deal, Richard had to buy these knife sets wholesale for $150.00, now he's selling them for half his cost making them a steal at $77.00!
Before the invention of gunpowder, a sword, knife or blade was the most powerful hand held weapon the world had seen. No one alive today can kill and slaughter using a blade with as much efficiency and prowess as those that lived during the long history before gunpowder. After the end of the Roman Empire, Medieval weapons evolved and adapted into a wide range of forms as metallurgical techniques slowly improved. While care was taken to reduce any unnecessary, inefficient, or clumsy elements, weapons of the medieval ages and renaissance took on elaborate and unique deigns and were often artfully decorated. Swords and Knives were often the most important and valued item people owned throughout history and continued to be well into the age of gunpowder. |
