This set of four miniature knives are an incredible wonder. These tiny artifacts feature slender hand carved antler, wood, and bone handles fastened to shank the same way regular quality knives are made. There are a variety of blade types including a miniature straight razor, buck knife, and boning knife that are actually sharp. The blades are polished to high shine and engraved with the manufacturer's name C. Russel. These knives come ready for display and will be a showpiece of any collection. The longest knife is a hair over 2 1/4" and the smallest is just under 1 1/2". Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity!
This incredible miniature knife set comes from the old Apache Turquoise & Case Co. trading post. They used to be one of our main suppliers running out of Phoenix, Arizona, and after a few decades the owner decided to retire from the business. Richard was lucky and fast enough to buy up his old stock leaving us with a giant treasure of high quality items. Before this deal, Richard had to by these knife sets wholesale for $150.00, now he's selling them for half his cost making them a steal at $77.00!
The objects man makes are called artifacts, and every artifact, whether it is beautiful or ugly, crude or refined, utilitarian or ceremonial, is a reflection and product of man's skills, his techniques, his arts. Artifacts reflect the ideas, the concepts, and the knowledge acquired or learned as a member of a tribe. Members of a particular tribe use certain techniques, and create a particular style because that is their tradition. |
