ANTIQUE WOODEN CATHOLIC GROTTO SHRINE 0321-Church
Antique Wooden Catholic Grotto Shrine.
A true antique. This piece is over a hundred years old. This Catholic Shrine is meant to hold a statue of the Virgin Mary or a statue of any other saint. This piece has been constructed out of wood and it was painted blue at one time. It was originally purchased in East Lansing, Michigan. This Catholic Grotto (as these shrines are commonly called) came to us from our very own John Jackson and it has been in his family for three or four generations. This grotto is missing a few pieces in the back of the towers. There's a split in the back wall, it was made that way and it has just separated over the years. Otherwise this a really great and solid antique. It is 39" tall, 23" wide, and 4-1/2" deep.
